Uzbekistan Ambassador told about the horrors of war crimes of Armenia

On October 22, Minister of Justice Fikrat Mammadov had meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan Bahrom Ashrafkhanov.

The sides expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, emphasizing the special role of President Ilham Aliyev and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in strengthening these relations. It was noted that our cooperation is effective in various areas, including in the field of justice.

Noting that our countries successfully cooperate bilaterally and within international organizations, the ambassador said he would do his efforts to expand ties during his diplomatic career.

During the conversation, they spoke about the military provocations of the occupying Armenia against our country, especially the war crimes against the civilian population.

The Minister of Justice stressed that Armenia has not given up its aggressive policy and continues its provocations aimed at the civilian population and civil infrastructure, noting that the enemy fired ballistic missiles at the densely populated cities of Ganja and Mingachevir, as well as Siyazan, Gabala and Kurdamir districts, located 100 kilometres away from the place of military operations in the morning hours.

During his visits to the city of Ganja, which was subjected to rocket attacks by Armenia, the ambassador stressed the horrors and illogicality of the war crimes committed against the civilian population, expressed his condolences for the victims and wished healing to the injured.

B. Ashrafkhanov stressed that Uzbekistan has made a principled position on the early settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions, unconditionally respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

F. Mammadov thanked the ambassador for his country's support and said that he had addressed appeals to foreign colleagues and prosecutors representing 80 countries regarding the policy of aggression and war crimes of the enemy. He also stressed the important role of the diplomatic corps in accurately and fully conveying the truth about Azerbaijan to the international community.

The guest said that his Uzbek counterpart had already received the official appeal of the Azerbaijani Justice Minister on Armenia's military provocations and supported Azerbaijan's just position, and said that his country's Justice Minister was interested in deepening relations. He noted that Azerbaijan's achievements in

the field of justice have been benefited in the reforms carried out in the country, including the application of the ASAN practice, which is a brand of our republic and provides various services to the judiciary.

The meeting touched upon the prospects of cooperation between the judicial authorities of the two countries, praised Azerbaijan's innovations in the field of digital justice, and stressed the benefits of exchange of experience for both sides.
