Presentation of electronic information platform “Karabakh is Azerbaijan!”, created by the Ministry of Justice was made during the meeting with the Chief Ombudsman of Turkey

On October 23, Minister of Justice Fikrat Mammadov met with the Turkish Ombudsman Sharaf Malkoch and his delegation, who visited our country.

Noting that the two friendly and brotherly Azerbaijani-Turkish relations with ancient roots are at the highest level, the Minister stressed the exceptional services of President Ilham Aliyev and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in strengthening our allied relations.

He said that there is no other country in the world as close and supportive to each-other as Azerbaijan and Turkey. From the moment invading Armenia started military provocations against our country, the Turkish people, including the President of Turkey, have been with Azerbaijan, and from the first day, all high-ranking officials of the brotherly country have expressed unequivocal support for Azerbaijan.

The Minister noted with gratitude that his Turkish counterpart Abdulhamit Gul was with us these days, which is a moment of truth for our people, talked to him on the phone, addressed an official appeal and expressed his support on Twitter. He stressed the successful cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries, as well as the support of the brotherly country in the training of Azerbaijani judges and the effectiveness of other joint activities.

He also noted the importance of the coverage of the enemy's military provocations and war crimes by influential Turkish media representatives, the President's interviews with these media in terms of broad and full coverage of the realities of Azerbaijan to the world.

The guest said that Azerbaijani lands have been under occupation for 30 years, almost a million people have been expelled from their native lands for almost half of their lives, and the decisions of international organizations on the conflict have not been implemented. He noted that the occupation must end. He stressed that the heart of the Turkish people, every citizen beats with Azerbaijan, and our country is in the right position.

S.Malkoch said that he witnessed the results of military provocations in Ganja during the visit, condemned the bombing of civilians by Armenia and stressed that they would take measures to inform the world community about the war crimes committed by them.

As the launch of the electronic information platform (http://www.justice.gov.az/categories/1148) "Karabakh is Azerbaijan!" created by the Ministry of Justice coincided with the meeting, its presentation was held at the event.

Addresses of the President of the country, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev to the Azerbaijani people, interviews with the world's leading media on Armenia’s invading policy, war crimes against the civilian population of Azerbaijan, addresses of the First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva on social networks and speeches in the media, official news about the territories liberated by the Azerbaijani Army, video materials on the ceremonies of raising the Azerbaijani flag in those lands, photo gallery on historical, cultural and religious monuments of Karabakh and seven surrounding regions were posted on constantly renewed platform drawn up in three languages (Azerbaijani, English and Russian).

The platform is integrated with other sites for a wider readership.

It was noted at the event that the platform, which was met with interest, is an important tool in promoting and disseminating the realities of Azerbaijan.

The meeting was attended by the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva.

The guest got acquainted with the Museum of the History of Justice at the ministry.
