Azerbaijan-Vietnam relations, based on historical friendly relations, are successfully developing under the will of the President Mr.Ilham Aliyev and President Mr. Nguyen Fu Chong, and our countries are cooperating closely in bilateral format and within international organizations, including the Non-Aligned Movement.
Our relations continue to develop dynamically, especially in the legal area, an Agreement on Cooperation was signed between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries, bilateral visits of delegations were held, and useful experience was exchanged.
Despite the global COVID-19 pandemic, expressing mutual intention to expand collaboration, both parties had decided to sign Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Justice of Azerbaijan and Vietnam, which will study the justice system and the judiciary, e-services application and other specific measures preferably through video conferencing.
Mr. Fikrat Mammadov, the Minister of Justice addressed a letter to Mr. Le Thanh Long, the Minister of Justice of Vietnam on the entry into force of the document signed in September through diplomatic channels during special quarantine regime.
The letter stressed that, the Cooperation Program will make an important contribution to the mutual cooperation, exchange views on reforms and innovations in the justice system and the judiciary will be beneficial for both sides.
The Minister Mr. F.Mammadov gave detailed information to his Vietnamese counterpart on Armenia's policy of aggression, military provocations, crimes against humanity and war crimes against our country and the civilian population by violating the international humanitarian legal norms, and which have attracted the attention of the world community for more than a month.
At the same time, the Minister expressed his sincere gratitude to Vietnam, which as non-permanent member of the UN Security Council during the discussions on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, took a resolute position standing up to defend the just interest of our country showing the commitment to the norms of the international law.
In conclusion, the Minister expressed confidence that the Azerbaijan-Vietnam relations will continue to develop successfully in all the spheres, including the legal area.
