Justice workers celebrated their professional holiday with great joy of victory

 November 22 - the professional holiday of justice workers is celebrated this year together with the joy of the glorious victory of our people.

In this regard, a series of events were organized in the judiciary and courts in accordance with the special quarantine regime, attention was paid to the victory of our people in the Patriotic War, the historical development way of Azerbaijani justice, speeches were made by justice workers and judges, photos and video-materials dedicated to our historic victory were demonstrated.

In addition, on the eve of the holiday, justice workers and judges donated more than 900,000 manat to the Armed Forces Assistance Fund, visited the wounded, gave gifts, and traditionally held blood donation actions.

In connection with the professional holiday, the leadership of the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Court visited the Alley of Honors, visited the grave of the founder of the modern Azerbaijani state, national leader Heydar Aliyev and laid a wreath at the monument.

Flowers were laid at the grave of the Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, in the Alley of Martyrs the justice workers commemorated our heroic sons who died for the freedom of our people and the territorial integrity of our country, as well as a dear memory of a justice worker killed for faith in the Patriotic War.

Opening the event, Mr. Fikrat Mammadov, the Minister of Justice, congratulated the staff on the professional holiday and a brilliant victory in the Patriotic War under the leadership of the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev. A video dedicated to our great victories and prepared by the ministry was shown.

The Minister noted that, our brave army won glorious victories on the battlefield by liberating our historical lands, Shusha, the crown of Karabakh, and achieved the de facto capitulation of the enemy in the political arena and the return of other occupied territories as a result of the president's military talent and diplomatic skills.

He noted that the announcement of the President on November 20 on the peaceful liberation of the heart of Karabakh - Aghdam region without bloodshed in accordance with the Joint Statement was met with great joy by justice workers celebrating their professional holidays. He specially brought to attention the dictum "Defeating the enemy without a fight is the pinnacle of the art of war".

The Minister of Justice noted that the head of state, who honorably fulfilled the most important will of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and engraved his name in golden letters as a victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, became a national

hero in the hearts of our people. As a prominent statesman, he rendered important services for the peace of mankind by ending a long war and establishing peace.

The event highlighted the tireless work of the First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, the most loyal comrade-in-arms of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, her support and caring attitude to our brave servicemen fighting on the frontline and her patriotic challenges to each of us to fight in information platform for fair fight of our people.

It was noted that the justice and judiciary workers who went to the war, including volunteers, showed selflessness and heroism, and the memory of all the martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.

It was noted that the Ministry of Justice also actively joined the action of informing the international community about the realities of Azerbaijan, the Armenian aggression, war and crimes against humanity.

It was noted that, a video conference of European justice ministers was held on this eve with the participation of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, the heads of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights and other specialized agencies, as well as the EU Justice Commissioner. Speaking as the first rapporteur, Mr. F.Mammadov brought to the attention of his colleagues and high-ranking representatives of international organizations the facts of Armenian military provocations and war crimes against civilians, vandalism and violations of international law, emphasizing that Armenia should be held accountable at the international level.

Addressing appeals to foreign justice ministers, world prosecutors, influential international organizations in close cooperation with the ministry, as well as holding meetings with ambassadors of various countries, Armenia's gross violations of international human rights and humanitarian law, war and crimes against humanity were widely noted, and international unity was called for taking principled and decisive measures in this regard.

At the same time, in order to promote and disseminate Azerbaijan's just position, an electronic information platform "Karabakh is Azerbaijan!" has been created (http://justice.gov.az/categories/1148). The constantly updated and interactive platform reflects the selfless services of the head of state and the First Vice President during the Patriotic War, news, documents, photos and videos about our Victory March, materials prepared by the Ministry about legal enlightenment. Thousands of users have benefited from the platform, which is integrated into other sites.

At the same time, a headquarters under the leadership of the Minister of Justice was established for the operative implementation of the President's instructions, a new Karabakh regional justice department was established for the

purpose of organized implementation of forthcoming duties and the judiciary in all liberated lands was included in its jurisdiction. The department will carry out its activities in conjunction with other institutions.

The event also focused on the works done in the field of justice, it was noted that, despite the global pandemic, measures on improvement of the work are continued, including operative works are carried out on implementation of the President’s instructions, on modernization of governance in the field of justice, increase of transparency, prevention of corruption and application of innovations.

An elegantly printed book reflecting the history of Azerbaijani justice from ancient times to modern times was presented to the staff. It was noted that, the book contains interesting information on the formation of justice, the special attention and care shown by the founder of our modern legal system, national leader Heydar Aliyev to the formation of the justice system and the judiciary, the modernization of activities in this area under the leadership of the President Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

The IDP justice workers shared their joy over the victory, especially for the liberation of their native lands, and expressed their deep gratitude to the country's leadership for giving everyone an unforgettable and endless sense of pride in overcoming the occupation of our lands.

An appeal was made on behalf of justice workers to the President Mr. Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the historic victory and special care for the development of the justice system. It was noted that the justice workers, closely united around the President with great confidence and enthusiasm, are determined to honorably fulfil their duties for the sake of building a democratic state governed by the rule of law and the restoration of our liberated lands.
