How is admission to the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice carried out?
1. Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who wish to serve in the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice may apply by e-mail (info@penitensiar.justice.gov.az), following the publication of an announcement regarding admission to service, via Azerpocht ,or by submitting their application via the mailbox of the Penitentiary Service located at 114 Nizami Street, Baku.
2. Citizens who apply are invited to the Penitentiary Service, and those who meet the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Service in Justice Bodies" submit their documents specified in the "Rules for Conducting Competitions and Interviews with Candidates for Admission to Justice Bodies" in order to participate in the interview.
3. After the documents have been submitted, the candidate’s eligibility for admission to the justice bodies is reviewed in accordance with the procedure established by law, and an opinion is issued regarding his/her admission to service.
4. Each candidate is provided with the “Handbook of the Candidate” containing the necessary information regarding the interview and its conduct.
5. The suitability of candidates for service is determined by the military-medical commission of the Medical Department General of the Ministry of Justice, and an opinion is issued accordingly.
6. After receiving an opinion of the medical commission, candidates must fulfill the physical fitness standards in accordance with the "Physical Fitness Standards of Military and Law Enforcement Personnel" approved by the Order No. 41S of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 21, 2000.
7. Candidates who have received a positive opinion from the medical commission, fulfilled the physical training standards, and in respect of whom an opinion has been issued on the possibility of their admission to service are admitted to the interview.
8. Candidates are informed in advance about the place and time of the interview. Those who come to the interview must bring their identity card with them. The interview is conducted with each candidate individually in accordance with the above-mentioned Rules. Each candidate is asked 5 questions to determine their suitability for the position they are applying for. A maximum of 25 points may be awarded for the answers to these questions. If a candidate scores 60% or more of the possible points, the interview is considered successful.
9. After the interview, a decision is made regarding the appointment of candidates who applied for junior chief staff positions. Those who passed the interview for middle chief staff positions are involved in mandatory training at the Academy of Justice, and those who successfully complete the training and receive a certificate of admission to professional activity are appointed to the relevant positions.
What documents must be submitted for admission to service?
In accordance with the "Rules for Conducting Competitions and Interviews with Candidates for Admission to the Justice Bodies", the following documents are submitted:
1. Application for participation in the interview using the prescribed form
2. personal record form of the candidate;
3. curriculum vitae (CV);
4. notarized copy of a document on higher education;
5. notarized copy of the identity card;
6. a copy of the employment record book, certified by a notary or HR;
7. health certificate issued by the Medical Department General of the Ministry of Justice;
8. notarized copy of the military card;
9. certificate of family composition;
10. 2 color photos 3x4 cm
What physical fitness standards are required for admission to service?
Candidates wishing to be admitted to service must fulfill the physical fitness standards in accordance with the “Physical Fitness Standards for Military and Law Enforcement Personnel” approved by the Order No. 41S of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 21, 2000.
· Pull-ups on a horizontal bar: 8 - 10 times
· 100-meter run: 13.5 - 14.5 seconds
· 1000-meter run: 3.30 - 3.50 minutes
