History of the “Justice Volunteers” movement
Since February 2, 2019, in accordance with the call of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to stimulate voluntary activity in state institutions and the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Voluntary Activity”, the involvement of young people in the apparatus and subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Justice on a voluntary basis has been launched. In this direction, the “Justice Volunteers” movement was formed, and hundreds of young people have joined its ranks. Justice volunteers have closely participated in the activities of the nationwide volunteer movement, becoming one of the leading forces in the direction of social activity, work with youth, and rejuvenation of personnel policy.
On January 30, 2020, a group of young people who were members of the “Justice Volunteers” movement established the “Justice Volunteers” public association on the basis of the movement. Since its establishment, the public association has actively participated in the socio-public life of the country together with its members, and, adhering to the fair, patriotic and innovative values it has defined as its benchmark, has contributed to the active activity and socialization of young people in many areas. In this direction, after the declaration of a quarantine state in the country due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the "Justice Volunteers" public association, like other volunteer organizations, actively joined the processes and, as a member of the Azerbaijan Volunteers Coordination Center (ACCC), closely participated in social assistance, education and other humanitarian campaigns. During the Patriotic War that began in late 2020, members of the public association actively participated in the information struggle in the world media and contributed to the correct information of the world community. After being accepted as a member of the Azerbaijan Union of Voluntary Organizations (AUVO), established on the basis of the ACU, the public association continued its activities and contributed to the education of young people in law and other fields, their involvement in social activities and projects, as well as networking.
Projects and events implemented within the framework of the "Justice Volunteers" movement
When organizing projects and events within the framework of the volunteer movement, the fair, patriotic and innovative values of the volunteer movement and the public association in its image are accepted as the main benchmark. The main goal of organizing projects and events is to increase the basic and auxiliary knowledge and skills of young people in various areas, stimulate public activity in public administration, effectively organize leisure time, form broad communications, networking, represent in local and international arenas, and contribute to the recognition of our country and the country's youth in the global sphere.
