General information about the arbitration institution:
Arbitration is one of the methods of resolving disputes outside the court system. Alternative dispute resolution refers to the methods used by parties to resolve disputes without recourse to state courts or as an alternative to court proceedings (such as arbitration, mediation, negotiations, conciliation, etc.).
Among these methods, arbitration is the most formalized mechanism: a dispute is resolved by an impartial arbitrator or arbitral tribunal selected by mutual agreement of the parties, and the resulting decision is legally binding on the parties. Unlike mediation and negotiations, the outcome of arbitration does not depend on the parties reaching a subsequent agreement.
