Baku Arbitration Centre

Detailed information about the Baku Arbitration Centre:

The non-profit legal entity “Baku Arbitration Centre” was accredited as a permanent arbitral institution by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 19 October 2026.

The Centre was registered with the state authorities on 28 December 2024 under registration number 1124-QK14-0104.

A permanent arbitral institution is responsible for administering arbitration proceedings and providing organizational support. These functions include addressing matters related to the appointment of arbitrators, challenges to arbitrators and termination of their mandates, maintaining records, as well as organizing the payment of arbitration fees and other arbitration costs. Decisions on the merits of disputes, however, fall within the jurisdiction of the arbitral tribunal.

The accreditation of the Centre contributes to the development of arbitration in the country and the promotion of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

Information about the Centre, its arbitrators, arbitration rules and activities is available in the relevant section of the Ministry's official website.
