Recruitment to the medical service is carried out on the basis of an interview in accordance with the “Rules for conducting a competition and interview with candidates for recruitment to the judicial bodies” (hereinafter referred to as the Rules), approved by the Resolution No. 1-N of the Board of the Ministry of Justice dated 12.08.2011.
If there are relevant vacant staff units in the medical service, an announcement is made in the media and on the official website of the ministry regarding recruitment to the service.
Persons who meet the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On recruitment to the judicial bodies” submit their documents according to the list specified in the Rules to participate in the interview.
After the documents of persons who have applied for recruitment to the medical service are submitted, the possibility of recruitment to the judicial bodies is checked in accordance with the established procedure. Also at this stage, the suitability of citizens for service is determined by the military-medical commission of the Main Medical Department of the Ministry of Justice and an opinion is given on this.
Candidates who do not have any circumstances preventing them from working in judicial bodies by law are interviewed.
The interview and proposals for the appointment of candidates are carried out by the Interview Commission for the Admission to Service of the Medical Service established by the Minister of Justice.
Candidates who have passed the interview are appointed to the relevant positions upon the recommendation of the Main Medical Department (taking into account the provision of medical service to the contingent of prisoners in penitentiaries, based on experience, candidates are first appointed to the position with a probationary period of 3 months, they are familiarized with the intended workplace and job descriptions).
Based on the recommendation of the Main Medical Department, the issue of accepting employees who have successfully completed the probationary period into permanent service is considered and they are given special ranks intended for the positions of junior chief staff.
Candidates for appointment to middle and senior management positions are involved in compulsory training at the Justice Academy to acquire legal knowledge. Employees who successfully complete this training and probationary period are accepted into permanent service in the justice bodies and are given special ranks intended for middle and senior management positions.
