Information on Recruitment to the Medical Department General:
Recruitment to the Medical Department General is carried out on the basis of an interview in accordance with the “Rules for Conducting Competitions and Interviews with Candidates for Admission to Service in Justice Bodies” (hereinafter referred to as the Rules), approved by the Resolution No. 1-N of the Collegium of the Ministry of Justice dated 12.08.2011.
If there are relevant vacant positions in the Medical Department General, an announcement regarding recruitment to service is published in the media and on the official website of the ministry.
Persons who meet the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Service in Justice Bodies” submit their documents according to the list specified in the Rules to participate in the interview.
Following the submission of the documents by persons applying for admission to service in the Medical Department General, their eligibility for admission to service in the justice bodies is verified in accordance with the established procedure. At this stage, the military-medical commission of the Medical Department General of the Ministry of Justice determines the suitability of candidates for service and issues its opinion.
Interviews are conducted with candidates who, according to the legislation, have no circumstances preventing them from working in justice bodies.
Interviews with candidates and proposals regarding their appointment are conducted by the Interview Commission for Admission to Service in the Medical Department General, established by the Minister of Justice.
Candidates who successfully pass the interview are appointed to the relevant positions upon the recommendation of the Medical Department General (taking into account the provision of medical service to prisoners, candidates are initially appointed to the position for a three-month probationary period, during which they are introduced to the workplace and their duties).
Based on the recommendation of the Medical Department General, candidates who successfully complete the probationary period may be considered for permanent appointment, and they are granted special ranks corresponding to junior chief staff positions.
Candidates being considered for appointment to middle and senior chief staff positions are required to undergo compulsory training at the Academy of Justice to acquire legal knowledge. If they successfully complete both the training and probationary period are appointed to permanent service in the justice bodies and are granted the special ranks corresponding to middle and senior chief staff positions.
