There was given a start to acceptance of documents of persons wishing to engage in notarial activities

Under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, practical measures are being taken by use of modern innovations in order to improve the quality of legal services provided to the population within the framework of reforms, and improve notarial activities, to facilitate access to notarial services.

Legislation has been updated by studying advanced international experience in this field, the application of a special notary institution has been expanded, the "Electronic Notary" information system has been established and by unifying notary offices in a single network, a registration of notarial acts has been simplified, "Mobile Notary" application has been created for remote services, special bags supplied with special equipment were prepared and given to notaries for rendering mobile services.

As part of the measures taken, consistent work is underway to form a corps of notaries with transparent procedures. In this regard, the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan with higher legal education meeting the requirements of the Law "On Notaries" wishing to engage in notarial activities in Mingachevir, Shirvan, Naftalan and Tovuz, Aghjabadi, Khizi, Salyan, Lankaran, Yevlakh, Jalilabad, Zagatala, Khachmaz, Barda, Zardab regions are invited to the next open competition by the Ministry of Justice.

Those wishing to participate in the exam can submit their documents to the Registration and Notary General Department of the Ministry of Justice (72, Azadlig Avenue, Baku city) on all working days from September 10, 2020. The first stage of the competition - the test exam will be held together with the State Examination Center via computer and information on the results will be provided to candidates immediately on the spot.

We would like to remind you that in accordance with the requirements of the legislation, the candidates who have passed the test are allowed to the next stage, the interview. Lawyers who succeed in the interview are involved in compulsory training at the Academy of Justice, where they also undergo internships in notarial activities. At the end of the compulsory training, a certificate is issued to engage in notarial activities based on the results of the assessment.

It is stated that special training courses will be organized at the Academy of Justice for the lawyers who will take part in the competition to help them prepare for the test and the interview stage.
