According to media reports, the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan is organizing the Tashkent International Law Forum in the form of a video conference on the review of law during the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Speaking at the forum about the innovations in the judicial-legal system, the Minister of Justice of Azerbaijan shared our positive experience and drew the attention of the participants to the crimes against humanity and war crimes by Armenia.
The event also included a video conference meeting between Azerbaijani Minister of Justice Mr. Fikrat Mammadov and Uzbek Minister of Justice Mr. Ruslanbek Davletov.
The meeting highlighted the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, which have lived in friendship and brotherhood for centuries, and the special role of President Ilham Aliyev and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in strengthening these ties.
Mr. F.Mammadov, the Minister of Justice noted the importance of the high-level International Forum dedicated to the topical issue in the context of the pandemic, and said that under the leadership of the President, consistent reforms have been carried out in all areas, including justice and the judicial system by using modern ICT.
They expressed satisfaction with the development of relations between the two countries and thanked Uzbekistan for supporting Azerbaijan's rightful position from the first days of the Patriotic War. He also touched upon the meeting with the Uzbek ambassador at the ministry, noting that he was a living witness to the war crimes committed against the civilian population by visiting our cities, which were attacked by Armenian missiles.
Highly appreciating the participation of his Azerbaijani counterpart in the Forum, the Uzbek Minister of Justice praised the positive experience of our republic in various fields, including justice, emphasizing that new opportunities have emerged for the development of relations. R.Davletov noted that the events of the Patriotic War for the freedom of our lands were followed with concern in his country.
It was noted at the meeting that during the historic visit of national leader Heydar Aliyev to Uzbekistan, as well as the implementation of the Agreement on Cooperation signed between the Ministries of Justice, bilateral visits of delegations and exchange of useful experience were held. It was noted that the Uzbek delegations visited our country and got acquainted with innovations in the field of
justice, the Azerbaijani brand ASAN service and benefited from our positive experience in this field.
Despite the global pandemic COVID-19, the Ministries of Justice of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan signed a Cooperation Program for 2021-2022, showing great interest in deepening ties.
The Cooperation Program envisages the study of the application of justice and judicial systems, e-services and digital innovations, concrete measures in the field of legislation, forensic examination, registration, notary, training of lawyers and in other areas, their implementation directly or in video format in accordance with the pandemic.
At the signing ceremony, they stressed that the document will make an important contribution to cooperation, the exchange of experience in the legal field will be beneficial for both sides, and expressed confidence that our relations will continue to develop successfully.
