About admission to Service in the Justice Bodies:
Service in the justice bodies is a special type of civil service of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who exercise the powers of justice bodies included in the system of law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in accordance with the areas of activity established by legislation.
Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who possess the professional training required for the relevant position and are proficient in the state language of the Republic of Azerbaijan are entitled to serve in the justice bodies, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, language, gender, social origin, property status, place of residence, beliefs, membership in trade unions or other public associations.
Persons holding dual citizenship, persons having obligations to other states, religious officials, persons declared incapacitated or of limited capacity pursuant to a court decision that has become effective, persons previously convicted of a crime, as well as persons whose criminal proceedings were terminated on non-exonerating grounds, persons who are unable to work in the justice bodies due to physical or mental disorders based on a medical opinion, persons dismissed from courts, the prosecutor's office, justice bodies, other law enforcement or other state bodies for gross misconduct or for actions incompatible with service, shall not be admitted to service in the justice bodies.
Stages of Admission to the Service:
According to Article 4.7 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Service in the Justice Bodies", admission to service in the justice bodies is carried out on the basis of a competition and interview.
The competition consists of a qualification (test) exam and an interview stage.
In accordance with the "Regulation on the Rules for Conducting Competitions and Interviews with Candidates for Admission to Service in the Justice Bodies" approved by the Decree No. 673 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 13,2007 participation in the competition is limited to persons with higher legal education.
To participate in the first stage of the competition - the test exam, it is sufficient to go to the "Apply" section and submit an appropriate application.
After this stage, the documents of candidates who have successfully passed the test exam are collected and reviewed, and those who meet the requirements established by the legislation are admitted to the second stage - the interview.
The list of persons admitted to service through the interview is determined by the "Regulation on the Rules for Conducting Competitions and Interviews with Candidates for Admission to Service in the Justice Bodies".
