On November 4, Deputy Minister of Justice Toghrul Huseynov met with a delegation led by Numon Muhammadiyev, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the parties noted that relations of friendship and brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are at a high level, and that important documents signed between the two countries, as well as mutual visits, create broad opportunities for further strengthening bilateral ties.
The discussions focused on the current state and prospects for cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries in the fields of notariat, legislation, international legal cooperation, forensic examination, and collaboration between the Academies of Justice. The importance of activities carried out under signed cooperation programmes and agreements, including mutual visits, online meetings, and the exchange of experience, was also emphasized.
The parties also highlighted joint initiatives implemented in the field of justice within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, as well as the activities of cooperation platforms.
Both sides expressed their interest in further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of justice and maintaining engagement to implement new joint initiatives.
