There was held meeting with the members of Evaluation mission of German International Cooperation Society (GIZ) at the Business center for municipalities on the 14th of March.
Effective cooperation of the Business center for municipalities with GIZ and jointly realized measures within the frame of the “Good Local Self-government Program in the Southern Caucasus” was noted at the meeting and directions of further cooperation on new program with relate to expiration of the program in 2020 was discussed at the meeting.
The members of mission informed about “New Good Administration” module uniting the programs “Public Financing”, “Good local administration” and “Legal reforms”.
At the same time, there were made discussions with relate to measure “increase of liabilities of the municipalities on social and economic development of the village” of which executor is the Ministry of Justice in the “Strategic Road Map about production and processing of agricultural products in the Republic of Azerbaijan” approved by the Order of the President on December 6, 2016, there was made exchange of ideas on the realized works and issues on establishment of development model of the village in elected pilot municipalities.
GIZ representatives got closely acquainted with Strategic Road Map and touched the cooperation perspectives in this field.
The exclusive importance of the “State Program for development of Azerbaijan Justice in 2019-2023 years” approved by the Order of the President on December 18, 2018 was noted and the members of the mission were informed about organization of exchange of international experience with the local self-government bodies of the foreign countries and other measures for the purpose of increase of professional level of the municipality members and servants in the field of local self-government specified by this Program. And there was reached primary agreement for mutual activity on the mentioned issues.
