Deputy Minister of Justice Togrul Huseynov met with Gianluca Esposito, the Council of Europe’s Director General of Human Rights and Rule of Law.
During the meeting, the long-standing and successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe in the fields of law and justice was highlighted. It was noted that the projects implemented within the framework of the Council of Europe's relevant action plans have contributed to the legal and institutional reforms being carried out in the country. It was also emphasized that cooperation in the areas of forensic expertise, probation, the enforcement of court judgments, and legal education and scientific research is a priority.
The parties exchanged views on cooperation with various institutions and committees of the Council of Europe, the results achieved in the field of international legal cooperation, and prospects for future cooperation.
