The reforms and innovations are covered by the Ministry of Justice by paying attention to legal enlightenment of population, regular notification of society about the activity of justice and courts, there are organized briefings, seminar-conferences and other educational measures about activity directions of the ministry.
On March 11, the Justice Academy together with the Press Council held a seminar on the theme "Establishment of a probation service, forthcoming duties".
The officials of the ministry and the Press Council, civil society representatives, journalists, ASAN volunteers, SABAH groups and students of the law faculty attended the seminar.
Acting rector of the Academy Elchin Khalafov stressed on the opening of the event that, the activity of the Ministry of Justice was established on the principles of transparency and clearness, he gave great importance to public participation and mutual cooperation with mass media, and that the latter took an active part in educational works of the ministry and he told about the goals of the seminar.
Deputy chief of the Human Rights and Public Relations Department of the ministry Aynur Sabitova and vice-chairman of the Press Council Umud Mirzayev speaking on the opening of the event stressed the importance of enhancement of cooperation relations between the Ministry of Justice and media authorities and regular and detail notification of population about justice activity.
Then, deputy chief of the Probation Service Musa Humbatov gave information about activity of the Probation service of the ministry established by the Order of the President Mr. Ilham Aliyev about humanization of punishment policy on February 10, 2017. He stated that, there were carried out much works with relate to effective organization of works in this field in the level of modern requirements during a short time and stressed the appliance of electron control means in execution of alternative punishments for deprivation of liberty.
At the same time, video clip about continuous activity of the Electron monitoring center of the Probation service was demonstrated at the event, and Mass Media representatives got acquainted with the opportunities and apply characteristics of electron control means.
At the end the questions of the journalists about establishment and development of Probation service, achievements gained in this field and future perspectives of the Service were responded.
The educational measures held by the Justice Academy, having regular character, will cover all activity directions of the ministry.
