Consistent measures are being taken to strengthen the capacity of the Academy of Justice, improve teaching through the use of modern methods and ICT within the framework of the implementation of the Decree of the President Ilham Aliyev "On deepening of reforms in the judicial-legal system" dated April 3, 2019. In order to computerize the teaching process and ensure the accessibility of training materials to the audience, the capabilities of the Academy's E-Learning Platform (Moodle Program), which has been implemented since 2017, are being expanded.
Taking into account that, the activities of governmental and non-governmental organizations are carried out mainly with the use of ICT in connection with the announcement of a special quarantine regime to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection in our country, the Academy of Justice organizes distant trainings for the candidates admitted to service in justice authorities, as well as to the position of advocate.
Within the framework of admission of new candidates for advocacy, at present 84 people are undergoing compulsory vocational training at the Academy of Justice of the Ministry of Justice in accordance with the Law on Advocates and Advocacy.
Candidates for Advocacy were taught remotely via video conference the themes “Evidence and Proof in Criminal Proceedings”, “Invalidity of Transactions”, “Characteristics of participation of Defenders and Attorneys in Criminal Proceedings”, “Tax Disputes, Tax and Social Insurance Obligations of Lawyers”, “Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation”, “ Cybercrime and cybersecurity”, “Peculiarities of admission of claims for execution”,“Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights: The right to a fair trial in civil-law aspect ”, etc.
Topics were brought to the attention by the judges, members of the Bar, employees of the Academy and other experienced trainers.
