Special attention is paid to increase of level of professionalism of judges and other lawyers within the frame of execution of the Decree of the President Ilham Aliyev dated April 3, 2019 "On deepening of the reforms in the judicial-legal system". The Academy of Justice hosts regular training sessions on human rights and other relevant topics, including video conferencing with the use of distant training forms. In this area, we also share experience with many countries by making useful cooperation.
Within the framework of implementation of the Memorandum on cooperation between the Academy of Justice and the National Institute of Justice of Moldova, a training was held via video-conference on the topic "Improving the efficiency and quality of the judicial system".
Acting rector of the Academy Elchin Khalafov made opening speech at the event, attended by the judges and official of the Ministry of Justice, and told about the projects and works realized with relate to the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice of the Council of Europe (CEPEJ). He stressed the importance of the subject for the judicial system and judges.
During the video-conference, presentations were made by the head of the Education and Research Department of the National Institute of Justice of Moldova, Ekaterina Papa, and the director of the training module of leadership and instances management, lawyer Petru Balan.
In the event there was discussed Moldova's cooperation experience with CEPEJ, access to justice and public relations of judicial instances, the use of information technology in the legal process and other issues.
The participants of the event noted the effectiveness of the organization of distant trainings on such modern and relevant topics in improving their knowledge and skills.
