There are held systematic measures, press conferences and briefings on separate activity directions of the ministry by presence of media representatives by giving start to joint projects on notification of society about justice and judicial activity of the Ministry of Justice and Press Board and on increase of legal knowledge of population.
There was held briefing dedicated to the innovations and activity of the inspection on control over the executive, probation, investigation works and execution of punishments on the 6th of March.
The leadership and employees of the relative structures of the Ministry of Justice and Press Board, members of the Public Committee at the Minister of Justice, the heads of number of mass media and journalists participated in the event.
The deputy chief of the Human Rights and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Justice Aynur Sabitova and vice-chairman of the Press Board Mushfig Alasgarli speaking at the event told that, the aim of the briefings is to develop the cooperation relations between the Ministry of Justice and media authorities and to provide their participation in enlightenment works of the ministry and in regular and detail notification of the population about justice activity.
At the same time, the information was given about activity directions and responsibilities of the Ministry, reforms and innovations carried out in this field. It was stressed that, the activity of the ministry was always established under the principles of transparency and clarity and special importance was given to cooperation with mass media. It was informed that, such events, having regular character, will cover all activity directions of the ministry.
Then, the chief of the Head Executive Office – head executive officer Nuraddin Mustafayev, the chief of the Probation Service – head probation officer Akshin Ziyadov, the chief of the Investigation Department Zakir Gafarov and the chief of the Inspection on control over the execution of punishments Malik Alakbarov speaking at the event noted the organization of activity in this field, realized measures and relative statistic indications.
It was informed that, the volume of works in the field of execution of court decisions, being one of the directions of important activity of the Ministry of Justice, grow year by year. About 900 thousands of execution cases were in 2018 and 60.5 percent of them were executed. As well as, the legal and physical persons paid 1.1 million manats as a result of realized measures.
At the same time, it was stressed that, the improvement of the activity of the executive structures, appliance of “electron execution” system served to effective organization of the works in this field, as well as there was given information about the single standard legal act – “Executive Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
The activity of the Probation service established by the Order of the head of state on February 10, 2017 about humanization of punishment policy was noted in the briefing. It was informed that, there were realized a number of works with relate to organization of the works in the level of modern requirements during a short time, given start to appliance of electron control means in execution of alternative punishments for deprivation of liberty. For this purpose Electron monitoring center, supplied with modern equipment, was established in the Probation service for incessant pursue of the prisoners and making operative contact. At present, more than 900 prisoners were applied electron bangles.
There was told about the activity of the Service in the field of execution of punishment, 1.030 persons were involved in execution of punishment in the type of public works and administrative reproof according to the court decisions last year. There were made measures on appliance of modern technologies in effective and easy control over the execution of the punishment.
At the same time, there was told about the activity of the ministry in realization of control over execution of punishments, in making primary investigation on other crimes.
The deputy of the Milli Mejlis, editor-in-chief of “Yeni Azerbaijan” newspaper Hikmat Babaoghlu, editor-in-chief of “Ilk Sahil” newspaper Vugar Rahimzada, members of the board of the Press Board – Azar Hasrat, head of “Telegraph holding” Aynur Jamalqizi, the president of “Constitution” Investigation Fund Alimammad Nuriyev and other speakers stated that, such events serves for development of cooperation with state structures. The meeting organized by the Ministry of Justice and Press Board has the importance from the point of view of development of cooperation between mass media and the ministry and notification of society about these works.
There was held question-answer session in the briefing, exchange of ideas was held among participators, the importance of relations with media and mutual activity and priority directions of cooperation were discussed and the questions of journalists were answered.
At the end of the event Mass Media representatives got acquainted with incessant activity of the Electron monitoring center of the Probation Service, opportunities and apply characteristics of electron bangle.
