In our country, special attention is paid to the protection of public health of population, treatment of people suffering from hemophilia and thalassemia in accordance with the advanced world practice, targeted measures are being taken in this area, modern infrastructures are being created.
On the initiative of the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, voluntary blood donation actions are being held within the framework of the program project "For a Life Without Thalassemia".
The measures taken serve to solve the problem of people's need for donor blood, especially in the current global pandemic COVID-19, and the effective treatment of these diseases.
About 150 justice workers, who joined the calls of the First Vice President of the Republic, donated blood at the National Hematology and Transfusiology Center on July 21-22.
Justice workers, who have always been active in such noble and benevolent events, are determined to participate actively in such events hereinafter.
