The duties arising from the instructions given by the President Ilham Aliyev at the economic meeting were immediately discussed at the Ministry of Justice, and the necessary measures were taken, including a roundtable was held with the bank officials last month.
Joint working groups have been established and showed effective activity for a short period of time in order to improve the judicial protection and enforcement of banks' rights and to solve promptly the emerging problems in this field.
The Minister of Justice Fikrat Mammadov held a meeting with a number of senior officials of the bank sector while the work in this area is under constant control. At the event, information on the works done by the working groups was listened and the forthcoming issues were discussed.
The Minister stressed the importance of interaction between the judiciary and the banks, which are the leading sectors of the country's economy, informed about the complex legislative, institutional and practical measures, realized on the execution of the Decree of the head of state “On deepening of the reforms in the judicial-legal system” on April 3, 2019 and serving the efficiency of development of entrepreneurship and bank sector’s activity.
President of the Azerbaijan Banks Association Zakir Nuriyev noted that, the Ministry of Justice took urgent steps to implement the President's instructions, highly appreciated digitization of the justice system, including the use of "electron court" and "electron execution" information systems that facilitate the operation of banks, and innovations in the field of notary and forensic examination. He also emphasized the Ministry's response to the issues raised by banks and the positive results of the work of joint working groups.
At the meeting, the Minister of Justice gave relevant instructions to continue the works by the working groups.
