Minister of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan Farid Ahmadov met with Minister of Justice of the Republic of Türkiye Akın Gürlek as part of his working visit to Türkiye.
During the meeting, the successful development of brotherly and allied relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in all areas was emphasized. The current state and prospects for further development of cooperation in the field of justice, based on mutual trust and support, were discussed.
The parties considered opportunities for expanding cooperation in the areas of legal assistance, extradition, digitalization, penitentiary affairs and probation, strengthening the exchange of experience, and implementing new joint initiatives.
The sides also exchanged views on the development of cooperation in the field of law within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
It should be noted that, as part of his visit, Farid Ahmadov participated in the 3rd Meeting of the Ministers of Justice of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the Justice Summit.
