Necessary preventive and prophylactic works are being carried out in our country under the leadership of the President Ilham Aliyev to prevent the spread of the global pandemic and protect the health and safety of the population. In connection with the announcement of the quarantine regime, special attention is paid to the concerns of vulnerable groups of population and necessary measures are taken to meet their social needs.

At the same time, the country's public, individual state and private organizations demonstrate social solidarity in the fight against coronavirus infection, joining the calls of the head of state and the First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva on the approach of Azerbaijanis to each other with mercy, care and sensitivity in their hard times, they visit low-income families, the elderly and lonely citizens, and help them to meet their basic needs.

This charitable action was continued by the Ministry of Justice.

The Ministry of Justice, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, provided food assistance to 1,600 lonely elderly people.

The Public Relations and Communication Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population told AZERTAC that currently single people over the age of 65, as well as people living alone and with disabilities are provided with daily social services by social workers at home.

Employees of the Ministry of Justice, together with social workers, delivered food aid to lonely elderly people at home.

It should be noted that in recent days, various public and private enterprises have provided food rations to 13,000 lonely elderly people.

Currently, the process of food distribution to vulnerable groups is being continued by the Ministry of Justice and other agencies. These events are a visual manifestation of high moral values, as well as national solidarity, such as caring for the older generation in our society.
