According to the “National Activity Plan for 2017-2019 on struggle against financing of terrorism and legalization of cash means or other property gained through crime” approved by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, there were held trainings for civil society on the theme of “Obligations of the non-governmental organizations in struggle against dirty money laundering and financing of terrorism” by the Ministry of Justice in Shirvan and Guba towns.
The trainings were attended by the officials of the Ministry of Justice, member of the Public Committee at the Minister of Justice Alimammad Nuriyev as an expert, qualified lawyer on NGO legislation Mahammad Guluzada and civil society representatives acting in those towns and near regions.
The attenders were read lectures on preparation of internal control system of non-governmental organization, appointment of the official and internal auditor, identification, verification of the clients and on other subjects and presentations were held at the event.
