Increase of the level of legal services provided to the population, as well as protection and strengthening of family values is always in the focus of attention of the Ministry of Justice.
For the purpose of supporting the development of family institution and regulation of marital relations, prevention of divorces, the psychologists were involved in the activity of the district Registry Offices and registry offices in “ASAN Service” centers of the Ministry of Justice in Baku city within the framework of the project jointly with the civil society institutions.
As a result of the psychologists' explanatory work, conduction of conversations on study and elimination of reasons among the people who applied to the registry offices for divorce, some of them were deviated from this idea. Thus, up to 20% of those persons refused to divorce since the beginning of this service.
Taking into account the positive results of this service, it was launched to be applied in some regions of the country this year.
In order to further improve this work and apply new methods, on September 13, 2019, the General Department of Registration and Notary of the Ministry of Justice conducted consultations by participation of the psychologists and officials of the registry offices functioning in Baku city.
At the event, the chief of the Civil Status Acts Registry Service R. Karimova and the chief of the Department for Work with NGOs of the Department of Legal entities and Civil Status S. Salmanova discussed the importance of this work and the measures to be taken on new organizational issues. For the purpose of gaining the highest results, during the discussion it was considered purposeful to enlarge the area of appliance of this activity.
Measures in this field are being continued.
