The Ministry of Justice held a training named “The responsibilities of the NGOs in struggle against money laundering and financing of terrorism” for civil society representatives in Baku city in accordance with the “National Activity Plan for 2017-2019 on struggle against legalization of assets or other property gained through crime and financing of terrorism” approved by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
There was given information in the event about comprehensive development of our republic, progressive measures made on establishment of democratic legal state and civil society and gained achievements, and the role of the NGOs in the process of democratization of the country and sustainable development of civil society as a result of close cooperation of state authorities with NGOs was also noted in the event.
There were read lectures and made presentations on the themes of preparation of internal control system of NGO, appointment of the official and internal auditor, identification and verification of the customers, etc. in the event attended by the officials of the Ministry of Justice, expert Alimammad Nuriyev- a member of the Public Committee at the minister of justice and other NGO representatives.
Similar events were also held in Ganja, Shirvan, Guba and Gabala cities.
