Solemn event was held in the orphanage No. 3 in Khatai district, Baku city by the Ministry of Justice jointly with the foundation “Public Support for disabled people and poor families” and “Hopeful Future” Public Union of social initiatives within the framework “Children's Rights Month” announced on the occasion of November 20 - the World Children's Day and the anniversary of the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Speaking at the event on the eve of the professional holiday of justice workers, the head of the Civil Registry Service of the Ministry R. Karimova said that protection of children's rights in Azerbaijan is one of the main directions of the state policy. She told about a care and attention of the national leader Heydar Aliyev towards children, strengthening of education, health and social protection of children by the President Ilham Aliyev and the First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva and also about wide opportunities for effective organization of leisure time.
Then, the children were presented the gifts - toys, sweets, clothing items, as well as art supplies and a festive table was organized for them.
The event was continued with dances and national music by performance of young musicians.
