State youth policy founded by the national leader Heydar Aliyev is successfully realized under the leadership of the President Ilham Aliyev. Today young people take an active part in all fields of social life, including public administration, as well as they are distinguished with effective activity being a leading power of voluntary movement, which was widespread in the country.
Youth is widely represented in justice authorities and special care is rendered to their activity. The employment of young people is being carefully monitored, and regular transparent recruitment and interviews are held to strengthen the judiciary with trained, knowledgeable and competent employees, who hold high moral and ethical values. At present, about half of the majority of employees are young people, and the newly recruited justice staff comprises up to 70 per cent of the ministry's personnel.
The successful work of the First Vice-President of the Republic, Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, in support of talented young people, revealing their innovative potential and abilities gave additional impetus to women's active participation in public administration, as well as one-third of those who recruited to the judiciary on recent competition was women.
At the same time, the practice of attracting volunteers to the activities is enhanced in order to increase a desire of young people to work in the judiciary and to ensure their employment. Currently, the justice system employs more than 600 young people as volunteers, and their designation issues are addressed first when completing the relevant vacancies.
Minister of Justice Fikrat Mammadov met with 65 young lawyers, most of whom were appointed to various regions of Azerbaijan on the eve of the professional holiday of justice officials. The youth first visited the grave of national leader Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honor and remembered his memory. Then, at the Alley of Martyrs, the memory of the heroic sons, who died for the freedom of our people and the territorial integrity of our country, was remembered and flowers were laid in front of their graves. They also laid flowers at the bust of the national leader Heydar Aliyev in the building of the ministry.
Speaking at the event, the Minister of Justice highlighted the comprehensive sustainable development of the country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, highlighted the measures aimed at improving the welfare of all sections of the population, deepening of the reforms in the judicial-legal system, development of the justice authorities and statistic indications were brought into notice.
The Minister also spoke about the care of our state for the comprehensive development of the younger generation, including their promotion to responsible positions in public administration, and the measures taken to represent them in public and political life. He highlighted the President's instructions to employ personnel with modern world outlook, clean, well-educated and homeland personnel, and gave them recommendations to get the necessary experience during their work, to properly perform their duties and to adhere to the rules of ethical behaviour and to take care of people.
He appreciated highly multiple participation of more than half of the candidates in previous competitions and their success by developing their knowledge as a manifestation of their confidence in the judiciary. Speaking lawyers noted that they were very proud of their recruitment on the eve of the professional holiday and emphasized the importance of their involvement in activity as justice volunteers during the competition. They emphasized that they will unite around the head of the state as a justice servant and will serve for comprehensive progress and strengthening of the country, they promised to justify the high trust shown to them, to implement their duties honestly, to hold the name of the justice worker with honour.
Then the newly appointed employees swore in front of the National Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan solemnly, and they were given service certificates.
