Under the leadership of the President Mr. Ilham Aliyev, consistent measures are being taken to improve regional justice departments operating in different regions of the country as part of the modernization of the justice system.
Coordination of the work of local justice agencies and control over their activities, providing methodological assistance to municipalities, as well as expanding the capacity and potential of regional justice departments in the field of administrative control, also in other activity directions of the ministry, are constantly monitored. In accordance with the personnel reforms of the President, these institutions are staffed with professional, modern-minded personnel.
In this regard, an operational meeting was held on the forthcoming duties and works done to improve the activities of these departments in accordance with the requirements of the President, to increase the efficiency of work with the relevant structures and local agencies of the ministry.
The event, held in a video conference format, was attended by Elchin Gasimov, head of the Ministry's Organization and Supervision General Department, and the heads of all regional justice agencies, including the newly appointed.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Minister of Justice Vilayat Zahirov spoke about the works done under the leadership of President Mr. Ilham Aliyev to improve the activities of regional departments within the development of the judiciary. He noted that as a result of the reforms, the status of these bodies has increased, their powers have been expanded, they have been strengthened with experienced personnel, and their infrastructure has been modernized by being equipped with advanced ICT.
He stressed that 30-year Armenian occupation was ended and the Karabakh Regional Justice Department was established under the invincible leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief to organize justice activities in our liberated native lands and coordinate the work of local agencies.
The event focused on the works done by regional justice departments in accordance with their activities, the existing problems and challenges, including the effective organization of work with local authorities, effective control over their activities and active participation in improving the level of legal services provided to the population, expansion of measures on awareness of municipalities and other specific tasks were brought to attention.
At the same time, the fulfillment of the set tasks, increasing the satisfaction of citizens in accordance with the instructions of the President and paying special attention to their appeals, especially the appeal of the families of martyrs and servicemen, strict observance of labor and executive discipline, ethical conduct,
transparency, creation of healthy civil-official relations, the inadmissibility of corruption and other abuses were stressed.
Also, a meeting was held with the head of the Centre for Works with Municipalities Mr.Rahman Mammadov and senior officials to discuss the upcoming tasks to strengthen methodological assistance and administrative control provided to municipalities, as well as to ensure the rule of law, to prevent a creation of conditions for corruption and other negative situations.
Emphasizing the importance of the portal for work with municipalities created by the Ministry of Justice, there was noted the need to increase its functionality and coverage through the application of modern ICT, to expand the use of Internet information resources by municipalities.
At the same time, they stressed the importance of improving the work of regional justice departments, ensuring transparency, accountability and openness in the activities of municipalities, as well as the lawful and effective use of funds allocated from the state budget and local budgets and concrete tasks were given.
