The return of national leader Heydar Aliyev to the country's leadership on June 15, 1993 entered into the history of modern Azerbaijan as the National Salvation Day. This day, being one of the most significant holidays of our people, is widely celebrated in our country every year, in this regard, a series of events are held in the judiciary in compliance with a special quarantine regime.
The Ministry always attaches great importance to the comprehensive development and enlightenment of young justice workers, as well as volunteers involved in judicial activities in the framework of the "Year of Volunteers" this year in the spirit of loyalty to the state, national and patriotism. In order to inculcate the rich political heritage and statehood of the national leader in the younger generation, the Ministry of Justice held an online lecture on June 11 with the participation of a group of young justice workers and volunteers.
Deputy of the Milli Majlis, Editor-in-Chief of "Yeni Azerbaijan" newspaper, Professor Hikmet Mammadov, invited to the event, made a report on the history of the liberation of our independent state, Heydar Aliyev's rescue mission and rich state activity.
He spoke about the path of the Azerbaijani people to the Day of National Salvation, noting that in the first years of independence, our people faced incompetent governance, internal chaos and civil strife, Armenian aggression. He stressed that as a result of the rescue mission of the National Leader, who returned to power at such a difficult time, our independence was preserved and strengthened, the unity of the state and the people was ensured, the Azerbaijani ideology was established and a democratic legal state was established.
The young people said they would always adhere to the principles of statehood of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, and the bright memory of the great leader will live forever in the memory of our people.
As a continuation of the event, by participation of the Vice-Minister of Justice Toghrul Musayev the guest got acquainted with the museum dedicated to Heydar Aliyev and the history of justice at the ministry. Speaking about the unparalleled services of the genius to our people and state, it was noted that his political legacy is an example for present and future generations. Emphasis was placed on ensuring the sustainable development of the country under the leadership of the President Ilham Aliyev, the important works done by the First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva in this direction, the important activity of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in studying the ideas and political heritage of the Great Leader.
