The state youth policy founded by the great leader Heydar Aliyev is successfully continued and developed under the leadership of the President Ilham Aliyev, and special attention is paid on the formation of youth as an organized force, their full moral and ideological maturity, the solution of their social problems and their employment in our country.
Continuous open competition and interviews on admission to service are held with the aim of strengthening the judiciary with new generation of younger staff and with employees distinguished with knowledge and skills and with high moral and ethical values in their activities. During the past five years, more than 2000 young people have been admitted to work on the basis of transparent choices. At present, about 40 percent of the employees in the justice system are young people.
The Minister of Justice Fikrat Mammadov met with about 80 lawyers, majority of whom are young, and who have been admitted to vocational training by gaining success in the next competition on admission to service.
Young people first visited the grave of the national leader Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honor and commemorated his dear memory. Then, on the Alley of Martyrs, the memory of the heroes of the Motherland, who passed away for the freedom of our people and the territorial integrity of our country, was commemorated, and flowers were laid in front of their graves. They laid flowers to the bust of the national leader Heydar Aliyev in the building of the ministry.
Speaking at the event, the Minister of Justice emphasized the continuous progress of our republic under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev and spoke about the measures aimed at improving the welfare of all sections of the population and the state's care for the comprehensive development of the youth. At the Republican meeting dedicated to the Day of Azerbaijan Youth, he once again conveyed to the young people the recommendations of the head of the state on the professionalism of the younger generation, upbringing in national and patriotic spirit, the commitment to the people and the state, and the strengthening of our independence.
Speaking in detail about judicial-legal reforms, the Minister said that all conditions have been created for participation of young people in the administration of justice, and that the volunteers’ institute has been encouraged by the volunteerism in order to ensure that our young people have the opportunity to work in this field, and about 1200 volunteers have been employed in the past year. He said that a group of young people in the service also worked in different structures of the ministry as volunteers in the past.
It was noted that in order to carry out the work with the volunteers in more organized manner in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, they
now have the opportunity to apply directly to the Ministry and there was prepared a sample contract formulating the relationship between the judiciary and volunteers, and during a last month more than 630 volunteers have been involved in justice activity by making contracts with them.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister emphasized the demands of the head of our state to establish citizen-officer relations on a sound basis, to provide worthy services to people, he emphasized the inadmissibility of corruption and the importance of compliance with the rules of ethical conduct, gave instructions on how to be always loyal to statehood, to carry out duties decently by developing their knowledge and abilities and wished them a successful career.
It was informed at the meeting that, there will be held test exams with about 350 lawyers, who applied for participation in the new competition announced by the ministry at the end of the last year.
The youth speaking at the event, stressed that they will serve for comprehensive development and strengthening of our independent Azerbaijan by densely uniting around the head of state, they promised that they would justify the confidence, honestly fulfill their duties and honestly use and hold high the name of the justice employee.
Afterwards, newly appointed employees took an oath before the State Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan and they were given service certificates.
