The state youth policy, founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev, is successfully implemented under the leadership of the President of the country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, creating favorable conditions for the comprehensive development of the Azerbaijani youth and active participation in all spheres of society. At the same time, the Volunteer Movement in Azerbaijan has gained momentum in recent years and the Law on Voluntary Activities has been adopted at the initiative of the Head of State. Thousands of young people have become active members of our society, engaging in various organizations, including “ASAN Volunteers” network.
In accordance with the state policy, young people are widely represented in the judiciary, they are treated with special care and regular meetings are held. More than 2000 young lawyers have been recruited on the basis of transparent elections during the last five years, and they have been successful in various areas of justice and many of them have been promoted to responsible positions.
In total, approximately 40 per cent of the employees in the justice system are young people.
At present, the matter of appointment of about 80 lawyers, most of whom are young people, admitted to vocational activities as a result of compulsory trainings held at the Justice Academy by gaining success in the competition, is considered.
At the same time, about 350 lawyers have applied for participation in the next open competition announced by the Ministry at the end of the last year and test exams will be held for them.
In accordance with the assignments of the Head of State, the Ministry has made a special decision "On Additional Measures for the Promotion of the Volunteers Institute in the justice authorities" on October 2016 by the Bar of the Ministry, by paying attention to the expansion of the volunteers institute, empowerment of young people and their practice in the justice system.
In connection with this, our country has established effective relationships with relevant higher educational institutions and student-youth organizations, as well as with the State Agency for Citizens Service and Social Innovations, about 1200 volunteers were involved in justice and judicial activity by holding numerous meetings with young people and special trainings were organized for some of them at the Justice Academy.
The promotion of the Voluntary Institution is aimed at familiarizing youth with the justice activities, enhancing their motivation to work in these areas, identifying
their creative and innovative potential, creating conditions for employment, as well as formation of personnel resources.
At present, the youth has the opportunity to apply to the Ministry directly in order to be more organized in this area. In this regard, young people studying at the last years of bachelor degree, as well as for master degree in higher educational institutions on the specializations of law and ICT, are invited to volunteer activities in the field of justice.
