The Academy of Justice of the Ministry of Justice attaches great importance to the expansion of international relations, effectively cooperates with the Bulgarian National Institute of Justice, exchanges delegations and organizes joint events.

Taking into account the importance of distant trainings during the pandemic, the Bulgarian National Institute of Justice held an online webinar on May 20 on "Crime tendencies in the condition of the COVID-19 pandemic".

Judges of the courts of first and appellate instance of Azerbaijan, prosecutors of the General Directorate for Struggle against Corruption under the Prosecutor General's Office and employees of the Academy of Justice joined the event, which was attended by more than 120 judges and prosecutors from more than 20 countries of Europe, Asia and North America.

Miglena Tacheva, Director of the National Institute of Justice, the judge Markus Bruckner, Secretary General of the European Judicial Training Network spoke at the training, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in terms of judicial training.

The webinar discussed topical issues such as financial and economic crimes, cybercrime and the fight against fraud during the pandemic. Ms. Jessica Kim, Legal Adviser of the department on Bulgaria and Romania of the US Department of Justice, made a presentation on the topic and answered numerous questions from the participants.
