Minister of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan Farid Ahmadov met with Minister of Justice of the Republic of Türkiye Akın Gurlek, who is visiting our country.
Welcoming the guest, Minister Farid Ahmadov emphasized that the brotherly and allied relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are developing successfully in all areas, and noted the importance of cooperation based on mutual trust and support between our countries.
During the meeting, the current state and future prospects of cooperation in the field of justice between Azerbaijan and Türkiye were discussed. It was noted that the mutual visits, signed documents, and joint action mechanisms carried out between the ministries in recent years have made a significant contribution to further strengthening bilateral relations.
The importance of expanding cooperation in the areas of legal aid, penitentiary and probation systems, the application of digital solutions, the exchange of experience, and personnel training was emphasized.
The meeting also noted that joint projects implemented within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States and multilateral cooperation mechanisms contribute to strengthening integration in the field of law.
The parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
