International cooperation in the field of struggle against corruption in our republic is attached importance by the political will of the head of the country Mr. Ilham Aliyev. Our country as one of the organizers of International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA) which unites 140 states, takes an active part in its works.
On the 9th of December – in the eve of International anti-corruption day in Putrajaya, Malaysia there was organized opening ceremony of the statute “No corruption” carrying symbolic meaning of uniting efforts in the struggle against corruption and describing clear hand. The statute installed by support of Qatar state and being the third by number was raised in Geneva in 2016 and in Vienna last year. The Head Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Mohamad, Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Tani, executive director of UNO’s Department of Narcotics and Criminality Yuriy Fedotov participated in the ceremony. The minister of justice of our country Fikrat Mammadov, as a vice-president of IAACA joined the ceremony as a special guest. Before the ceremony the minister of justice met with the Emir of Qatar, Head Minister of Malaysia and higher representative of UNO.
Then the minister participated in the presentation ceremony of International Anti-corruption Reward established by the initiative of the Emir of Qatar. There were presented solemnly the rewards in the form of raised statute for the appliance of innovative practices in the struggle against corruption, making fundamental scientific analyses and for youths’ participation in the anticorruption events.
At the same days there was held the meeting of the Executive Committee, which is the leading body of IAACA, in Putrajaya. The important themes about the activity of the organization, matters with relate to amendments to the Constitution of the Association, perspective program of the organization, financial and other organizational issues were discussed in the meeting.
F. Mammadov spoke in the meeting and informed about the measures of struggle against corruption, which is the priority of state policy in Azerbaijan, as well as about the activity of Azerbaijan brand - ASAN Service providing citizen’s satisfaction in high level. There were made some offers with relate to the discussed issues and were passed unanimously.
As well as, new edition of IAACA Constitution was co-ordinated and future events were determined, also was decided to establish special financial fund of IAACA for rendering support to the persons suffered damages in the struggle against corruption.

At the same time, there was held in the meeting special presentation accompanied by video and photo slides with relate to announcement of 2018 as a Year of People’s Republic of Azerbaijan. The minister of justice told about the history of People’s Republic of Azerbaijan, progressive democratic decisions made at that time, as well as about today’s achievements of our country. Specially, there was told about centennial development way of Azerbaijan justice, care of the national leader Heydar Aliyev to the Azerbaijan justice, progressive justice and judicial-legal reforms made under the leadership of the President Ilham Aliyev. It was stressed that, our country’s achievements in this field were appreciated by UNO, European Council, World Bank, International Gold Cross Committee and other reliable international organizations, as well as our country was awarded with the reward of European Council’s contest “Crystal Balance of Justice”, Azerbaijan representative was newly elected for the position of the president of CEPEJ, as a manifestation of the next confession of our progressive achievements in international world.
Bitter truth of Armenia-Azerbaijan Daghlig Garabagh conflict was brought to the participators’ notice during the speech.
After the presentation the members of the IAACA Executive Committee were presented memorial symbols dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijan Justice.
There were held meetings with the leaders of the law-enforcement bodies of many countries by the minister of justice of Azerbaijan within the frame of visit and made useful negotiations about joint activity in the field of anticorruption.
The ambassador of Azerbaijan in Malaysia Galey Allahverdiyev participated in the events.
