Under the leadership of President Mr. Ilham Aliyev, e-innovations are widely used to provide transparent, efficient and accessible services to citizens by reforming the justice and judicial system in line with modern challenges. The application of digital technologies also serves to raise the level of citizen-official relations to a whole new level, to prevent corruption and procrastination, and thus serves to the comfort of the people. Innovations in this area are of international interest, and other countries benefit from the experience of Azerbaijan.
Thus, the delegation led by the Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan Akmal Burkhanov visited the Ministry of Justice to get acquainted with the innovations in the field of justice and the judiciary.
A special presentation was held for the delegation and they were informed about the diversified electronic justice services provided to citizens, various registers maintained by the ministry and other electronic information resources.
The guests were especially interested in the "Electronic Court" and "Electronic Notary" information systems. Also, in connection with the pandemic, the application of remote notary services, including "Electronic Justice Kiosk", mobile notary bag, "Mobile Notary" application, provided by remote video communication in a special quarantine regime, was a source of satisfaction.
At the same time, presentations were made on the "Mobile Court" software, the use of artificial intelligence, the use of videoconferencing in court proceedings, as well as electronic means of control over the execution of alternative sentences to imprisonment.
The Uzbek delegation met with Deputy Justice Minister Mr. Eldar Nuriyev and briefed them on the activities of the newly established Anti-Corruption Agency. They stressed that they had learned good practices in this field, showed great interest in the achievements of Azerbaijan for this purpose, and benefited from the "ASAN service" model, which plays an important role in the fight against corruption. They said that it could be useful for them to benefit from the positive experience of Azerbaijan in the application of innovations in the field of justice.
The meeting highlighted the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, the special role of President Mr. Ilham Aliyev and President Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev in strengthening these ties.
Noting the fruitful cooperation in the legal field, the Deputy Minister said that a new Cooperation Program on cooperation in the field of justice was signed between the two countries last month within the Tashkent Legal Spring Forum dedicated to digital innovations.
Touching upon international cooperation in the fight against corruption, A.Burkhanov praised the country's representation in the leadership of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Bodies, noting that his organization intends to closely participate in the work of the Association and welcomed Azerbaijan's support in this regard.
The sides exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation and answered questions of the guests.
