The commissions of the President Ilham Aliyev regarding the provision of decent services to the people, careful and sensitive approach to the citizens' appeals are constantly being monitored by the Ministry of Justice, so citizens are received in the regions in mobile form.
According to the instruction of the ministry’s leadership, the Centre for works with Municipalities made an analysis of the appeals on the activities of the municipalities and the regions with more complaints were identified, and the mobile reception of citizens in those regions is continued in accordance with the relative schedule.
In April of the current year, administration of the Centre held the reception of citizens in Imishli and Lankaran regions. During the reception, every citizen was carefully listened and taken under control in order to thoroughly investigate and to settle the issues raised in his appeals in accordance with the requirements of the law.
Also, there were held conferences with the chairmen of municipalities, whose activity is displeased, in Imishli and Lankaran regional justice offices, discussions were made on the issues causing the citizens' justifiable dissatisfaction, and there was emphasized the importance of consideration of the appeals with care and sensitivity and in accordance with the law. Recommendations were made to ensure legality and transparency in the activities of municipalities.
Existing problems in the field of local self-government were touched in the conferences held by cooperation of regional justice departments, and relevant instructions were given on strengthening of legality in the activity of municipalities, strengthening of their legal awareness and methodological assistance.
