There was held a meeting with the representatives of the civil society institutes in the Center for works with Municipalities of the Ministry of Justice.
The significance of the close cooperation with civil society institutes was mentioned at the meeting by emphasizing the realization of progressive reforms in all fields of the country life, as well as on improvement of public administration by the leadership of the head of state Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the importance of increase of efficiency of local self-government, especially provision of population employment, municipalities’ active participation on support of entrepreneurship, and appliance of advanced international experience in this field.
The representatives of the non-governmental organizations were informed in detail about the activity of the Center for works with Municipalities in the field of local self-government, realized works, especially about the measures specified in the “State Program on development of Azerbaijan justice for 2019-2023”, and the cooperation opportunities in this field were discussed.
There was made exchange of ideas at the meeting around the matters on establishment of village’s development model with regard to the measure “Increase of municipalities’ obligations on social and economic development of the village”, which is the main executor of the Ministry of Justice in the “Strategic Road Map on production and processing of agricultural products in the Republic of Azerbaijan” approved by the Decree of the President on December 6, 2016. There was also touched upon the cooperation perspectives in the direction of organization of practical visits of municipal representatives for the purpose of study of advanced international experience in this field.
Civil society institutes considered the ministry’s great estimation to public participation as estimable by expressing its satisfaction in holding of such meeting, and hoped for future development of mutual activity.
