On June 12, the inaugural "Law League 2026" Chess Tournament among legal institutions was held, organized by the Azerbaijani Bar Association to mark June 15 – National Salvation Day.
The tournament aimed to support the development of chess in the country, promote an intellectual competition environment among members of the legal community, and provide a favorable platform for legal professionals to showcase their skills in this field.
Teams representing the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani Bar Association, and the Union of Azerbaijani Judges competed in the "Law League 2026" tournament.
Held in a double round-robin format, the competition featured intense and compelling matches.
According to the final results of the tournament, the team composed of justice officers clinched first place to emerge as the champions of the competition. The Azerbaijani Bar Association team secured second place, while the Union of Azerbaijani Judges team finished third.
Following the games, the winners were presented with trophies, diplomas, and gifts.
It is worth noting that organizational support for the tournament was provided by the Azerbaijan Chess Federation.
